Dear all,
This letter is just to
bring you up to date with currents events at the club.
Training:
Training finishes
on 13th/14th December 2007 and starts again on 3rd/4th
January 2008. Please try and arrive 5 minutes before you are due to start so
things can start on time. Please remember the bar is open during training so
please pop in and have a drink whilst you child’s training is going on. We are
also losing footballs at an alarming rate. Please can you remind you children
to let the coaches know if a football goes over a fence?
Subs:
At the start of the season we stated that subs for the year would be £130 for
the season. We have reviewed the clubs current account and realised that we
have under estimated the cost of the season. We have therefore decided that
subs need to be increased and for the second half of the season the cost will
be £75. (This is an extra £10 for each player.) Please can this payment be
given to Tony or I at the first training session on 3rd/4th
January 2008? If any one has an issue with this please contact Tony or I. Most
clubs charge in excess of £200 per player for the season so we feel the
increase is not excessive. Cheques made payable to BALGOWAN SOCCER
CLINIC.
Sponsorship:
To help with the
clubs current financial state we are looking for sponsors to support the club.
Over the last three seasons we have received a grant from the Football
Foundation to help increase and develop the club. We have not had that influx
of that money this year. Any amount, which can be obtained, will go towards
kit, equipment and facility hire. Their company will be placed on our website
Balgowanfc.com and a link set up to their company.
Fund Raising: On a Friday 29th February, there will be no
training. We will be running our regular Race Night in
order to raise funds. This will be an adult only event again. The reasons for
this are two fold. We can only have about 100-120 people in the club. With
children that means we are only likely to get 60 adults attending. If we
restrict it to adults it means more can attend and therefore more money is
wagered. Please support this event, as it is a fun night, which usually
generates good funds for the boys.
Ollie Ehrhart who plays for the Under 13A team has
Cystic Fibrosis and his dad Andy Ehrhart along with
three other police officers are rowing across the Atlantic from the 23rd
November 2007 to raise funds for the Cystic Fibrosis charity. To sponsor his
dad please click on the following link: www.justgiving.com/4row4cf
Don’t
forget you can check all the team details and events on the Balgowan Website

Happy Christmas to you all.
