End of
Season Newsletter
As the season is drawing to a close I
thought it was time to let you know about various dates.
Firstly for those who don’t know the
Under 16’s have reached the Tandridge League Trophy Cup Final. This is being
played on Thursday
24th April 2008 at Whyteleafe Football Club, 15 Church
Road,
Whyteleafe, Surrey,
England, CR3 0AR
kick off 7.30pm. If there
is enough interest I will book a coach, which will leave from Kent County at 6.15pm. If you wish to book a place on the coach please E
mail me at andy.craig@ntlworld.com
or give me a ring.
The Race Night, which occurred in
February, raised £675. I would like to thank all the parents who supported this
event. Saying that however Nick, Tony and I are disappointed with the number of
people who supported the event. This is the second year running it has been
poorly supported and only limited funds have been raised towards keeping the
yearly subscriptions down. Therefore we have decided not to run the event again,
but there will be a substantial increase in fees for next season.
There will be no training
sessions on Thursday/Friday 20th/21st March 2008 due to the Easter
Break. The final training sessions of the season will be on Thursday/Friday
17th/18th April. On the 18th April 2008 there will
be a BINGO NIGHT in the clubhouse. This is an opportunity for all family
members including the children to attend and play. It will start around
6pm whilst the first
training sessions are going on and continue throughout the evening so please pop
in and play and make this a fun end of season social
event.
A reminder from Tony. If
you owe him money please pay ASAP, as we would like to finalise the club
accounts for the season.
The Player of the season
Event will take place on Sunday 11th May 2008 from 12.30pm. We will again run a World
Cup for the boys, which basically means they will play 3 hours of fun football
on the Astroturf followed by a barbeque by the clubhouse. Please check the
Balgowan WEBSITE for details of the teams the boys are in. Please make sure you
turn up wearing the colour of the team you are playing in. We hope to start the
presentation at 4pm. Tickets
will be £5 per person. Please can you let your team manager know whether
you are going to attend and pay them direct? We will also be taking photos of
the boys for next season’s registration cards on the day. These will cost £1 to
cover developing etc. This will save a lot of running round at the beginning of
the season collecting the boy’s photos.
Finally I would like to
thank all the players, parents and coaches for what I think has been a
successful season.
